After spending over 70 years of my life in the Martial Arts (Tae Kwon Do, Hapkido and Judo), I want all of my students to understand that I am still a student of the Martial Arts as well. When I was about six years of age I decided to give my life to the Martial Arts and the development of Tae Kwon Do. To this day I have never regretted it, nor have I wished to be, or do anything else. Whenever I saw a new technique, I always said to myself, "I CAN DO IT!" And I Will be the Best!

This is the attitude I want all my students to have and to fully develop: Always have a happy spirit and a positive mental attitude.

I was very fortunate to have had the Master that I had in Korea. This Master taught me the very secretive Ancient and Traditional Art forms known as Mo-Heung (pronounced MooWong). I was one of the very few students in Korea who was taught the complete and all encompassing Martial Arts forms from the book of King Chin Heung, who was the 24th and the greatest King of the Silla Dynasty. This book was a compilation of all the known Martial Art forms in Korea about 2,000 years ago. I learned the exact techniques and forms of the Hwa-Rang Do Warriors of that time period.

When you enroll at the Dragon Gym you are receiving a modernized course in Martial Arts, incorporating the best of Tae Kwon Do, Jiu Jitsu and Hapkido. There is no one else teaching this system. This is the new concept of the Dragon Gym.

To those students that persist and advance to Black Belt status I say, a Grand Master will teach all he has to give to the worthy student, so strive to become a GOLDEN MAN.

Now that you understand a little about the Martial Arts that you will be learning at the Dragon Gym, you should know that anything you learn will not benefit you unless you accept and incorporate it into your daily lives. The far more important philosophies and traditions that are taught, along with the physical skills go back in time over 2,000 years. The student must learn and live the complete UmYang circle of Tradition, Philosophy, and Self Defense. When you can do this you are a real Martial Artist of the Dragon Gym and in the Ancient Mo-Heung sense. Then and only then, I promise you.. you will be the best!
