The Dragon Gym is the heart of martial arts in Exton, Pennsylvania, Chester County
Founded in the early '70s by Grandmaster Chae Teok Goh, our martial arts schools are currently run by Somnath Sikdar, Lawrence (Lonnie) Beck III, and Chris Taylor—a dynamic team that has trained together since childhood and remains dedicated to serving the Exton community by teaching the benefits of martial arts, physical fitness, and healthy living in this modern era.

In the heart of Exton, PA we are just minutes away from Downingtown, West Chester, and Malvern, Pennsylvania. We’re just a short ride from Exton Square Mall, located on S. Whitford Road, off Lincoln Highway.
The Dragon Gym is one of the oldest and most well-established Tae Kwon Do and martial arts schools in Exton, PA. Based in the heart of Chester County, we have been serving families from nearby towns such as West Chester, Downingtown, and Malvern, Pennsylvania.
We pride ourselves on our community involvement and enthusiastically support organizations like the Domestic Violence Center of Chester County, the Lord’s Pantry in Downingtown, Philabundance, UNICEF, and the Wounded Warrior Project. We consistently have been voted the best martial arts studio in Chester County.
The Dragon Gym Martial Arts & Fitness facility is truly one of a kind and cannot be beat in the Chester County Area. We have over 6,500 square feet of dedicated martial arts training space fully matted with top-of-the-line Dollamur products, a 2,000-square-foot dedicated strength training area with a full complement of free weights, kettlebells, barbells, dumbbells, and Olympic weights, an 800-square-foot yoga studio, men’s and women’s locker rooms with showers, and a viewing loft so that parents can view every one of their child’s classes.

Children Programs
Getting Started is Easy with our Quick Start Programs
Here is a view of one of our training floors. As you can see it's spacious with plenty of space to learn martial arts and workout. Classes include kids martial arts, Muay Thai, Kickboxing "express", Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as well as Taekwondo and Hapkido.
The training floor for martial arts is fully matted with 1.5" Dollamur mats, a top of the line surface to ensure your safety and the best training experience. You'll also see several hanging "Thai Bags" and standing "wave bags". These bags are used in our Thai Boxing Classes, No-Contact Kickboxing Express Classes, and Taekwondo Classes. You'll also see students grappling on these mats. Thats our BJJ class!
Can you picture yourself here? You'll feel right at home!
Next, you'll see our strength and conditioning floor. The floor is matted with what's known as "plyo-robic" rubber. It's firm, but more elastic than a typical rubber gym floor. That means it feels totally firm for great training, but it actually is much less impact on the muscles and joints. So, you can work out harder and get more results. You can't see the ~50 Kettlebells that are off to the side
